Orange Shirt Day is on Sept. 30 this year which is a Sunday. We are planning to acknowledge the day on the Friday before (Sept. 28). Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity for First Nations, local governments, schools and community agencies to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come. Wearing an orange t-shirt is the best way to show support for the event. You also may want to wear an orange bandana, scarf, etc. instead.
